RESUMO Neste artigo, objetiva-se problematizar práticas escolares envolvendo língua/linguagem a partir de uma experiência localizada de ensino de língua portuguesa. A pesquisa-ação foi orientada pela pluralidade de letramentos, conduzida pela professora pesquisadora e seus estudantes do segundo ano de ensino médio de uma escola pública de Goiás. O material empírico de interpretação constitui-se de questionários discentes, de notas de campo e diário reflexivo da professora pesquisadora, e de entrevistas semiestruturadas com os estudantes. Os resultados apontam para a relevância de projetos que subvertam didáticas enrijecidas de ensino/aprendizagem de língua portuguesa, especialmente aquelas práticas voltadas exclusivamente ao letramento da letra.

ABSTRACT In this article we aim to problematize school practices involving language based on a localized experience of Portuguese language teaching. The action research was guided by the plurality of literacies, conducted by the teacher-researcher and her students of the second year of high school in a public school in Goiás, Brazil. The empirical material of interpretation consists of student questionnaires, teacher-researcher’s field notes and reflective journals, and semi-structured interviews with students. The results point to the relevance of projects that subvert traditional didactic aspects in Portuguese language teaching/learning, especially those practices focused exclusively on formal literacy.

RESUMO: Considerando a rotina de uso de músicas em aulas de língua estrangeira (inglês) e, ao mesmo tempo, a importância de criticidade sobre a ação, neste texto buscamos rastrear possibilidades e reflexões da ação docente, a partir do que denominamos de “letramentos musicais” para o ensino de LE (inglês). O estudo implementado é de cunho qualitativo, interpretativista e tem como procedimento o estudo de caso realizado em uma escola pública estadual do interior de Goiás, envolvendo três professoras do idioma e quatro alunos de três diferentes turmas de primeiro ano do ensino médio. Compõem a geração e interpretação do material empírico as fases de diagnóstico, intervenção e avaliação ocorridas durante o estágio obrigatório docente, bem como os relatos colhidos dos participantes por intermédio da entrevista semiestruturada e do questionário. Os resultados sugerem a urgência de eventos de letramento musical docente em sala de aula de LE (inglês), no sentido de garantir a aprendizagem linguística integrada à musical de alunos, com reflexões sobre potencialidades didáticas que se relacionam à percepção de música enquanto texto, prática discursiva e prática social.

ABSTRACT: Considering the routine of using songs in foreign language classes (English) and, at the same time, the importance of criticality about action, this paper aims to trace possibilities and reflections about the teaching work, from what we call “musical literacies” for FL teaching (English). The study is qualitative, interpretative and has as a procedure the case study carried out in a public school located in state of Goiás, involving three language teachers and four students from three different high school classes. The generation and interpretation of the empirical material includes phases of diagnosis, intervention and evaluation that occurred during teacher training, as well as reports collected from participants through the semistructured interview and questionnaire. The results suggest the urgency of musical literacies events in foreign language (English) classroom, in order to guarantee the linguistic learning integrated into the student’s musical learning, with reflections on didactic possibilities related to the perception of music as text, discourse practice and social practice.

Este estudo de caso busca analisar, com base em narrativas orais de uma estudante de origem portuguesa do curso de Letras, a construção de sua(s) identidade(s), incluindo aspectos educacionais, culturais, pessoais, ao contar sua história de vida e experiências relacionadas à vivência no contexto brasileiro. Os resultados sinalizam a inexistência de unicidade linguística entre falantes brasileiros e portugueses, evidenciando a complexidade do sistema língua-cultura. Nele, a participante constrói referências para representações surgidas após o contato com o(s) outro(s). Essa dinâmica molda sua(s) identidade(s), marcando a(s) diferença(s) e oferecendo preciosos indícios para a compreensão de influências sociais, linguísticas e culturais relacionadas à vida da estudante.

This case study examines the oral narrative of a Portuguese woman living in Brazil while attending to an undergraduate course of Letters at a Brazilian university. It focuses on the construction of identity(ies), which includes her educational, cultural, and personal aspects considering the Brazilian context. The results showed the lack of language unity between Brazilian and Portuguese people, as well as the complexity of the language-culture system. Regarding this system, she builds up references to the representations made after her contact with other Brazilian speakers. Moreover, this dynamic process somehow moulds the participant’s identity(ies) and subjectivity by emphasizing the differences between cultures. It also offers precious indications to the comprehension of social, cultural and language influences present in intercultural experiences.
